Rinjani Women Guide Association is an independent organization that was officially formed in 2002 by women tour guides in Senaru Village. Initially there was the embassy of New Zealand and the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism who came to provide socialization of tour guides in 2000. So that this organization began to actively form to empower women’s groups in the tourism sector. Because Senaru is one of the tourist destinations that has natural attractions such as climbing Mount Rinjani, waterfalls, rice fields, and cultural tourism. Until now, there are around 75 tour guides who are members of the Women Guide Asociaton and some already have mountain tourism guide certification.
