In Indonesia, women’s empowerment in tourism is closely linked to the socio-economic strengthening of the community. Many women in tourism destinations contribute significantly to tourism development; some are leaders who inspire other women in their villages and encourage them to play a role in strengthening the local economy and developing human resources.
