Forum Peduli Kelestarian Alam (FORLIKA) is an organization built by young people in Teluk Sulaiman on December 01, 2015. The formation of this institution was due to awareness of the lack of protection and utilization of areas in Teluk Sulaiman Village. Forlika’s legal entity is an independent association. Forlika not only focuses on protection activities, especially the Sigending area, but also other activities such as the development of environmentally sound ecotourism and local wisdom. Forlika collaborates with community groups and organizations in the village to develop local products so as to improve the welfare of the Sulaiman Bay community. Until now, Forlika has had monitoring and inventory activities in the area by developing area patrols. Patrol activities are carried out regularly in addition to protecting the area, and also aim to identify and inventory the flora and fauna in the Sigending area.
