Kelompok Tenun Endo Segadok

Since 2016, Endo Segadok community group (49 members) has actively preserved weaving tradition.

Besides farming, weaving is mandatory for Iban women in order to make a fabric to be used by the family. Iban is one of sub-ethnic group of Dayak Tribe in Kalimantan. In this modern era, local women still weave for daily purpose but also to make souvenirs for tourists, specific order, and fairs. The group was established in 2016 and named Endo segadok, which have 49 members. It consists of 2 sub-groups differentiated by age. It commits to preserve the Iban weaving tradition over generation. The use of natural dye added the value of Endo Segadok’s weaving fabric. Members make natural ingredients out of plants found at the home surrounding.
