Since the beginning, Waerebo has been known as a traditional village that still preserves its culture. A village that still retains the past civilization of the Manggarai people. Its existence is far from the hustle and bustle of the city or even things from this modern era. Keeping a lot of long history and cultural values that are very philosophical and still relevant to be applied in our time.
In 2007. The Waerebo community together formed a non-profit organization called: Waerebo Cultural Preservation Institute (LPBW). Which Aims to Manage, Preserve or Maintain Ancestral Cultural Traditions, Organize Waerebo Tourism. In this case, the Waerebo community agreed to open isolation and accept tourists into Waerebo or open Waerebo Village as one of the tourist attraction objects in Flores, Indonesia.
