Mahakarya Tenun is a cultural preservation initiative focused on Iban weaving, taking the form of research and documentation that highlights the noble values of the Iban tribe and empowers female weavers, particularly in Kapuas Hulu Regency. Mahakarya Tenun aims to preserve weaving by cataloguing weavers in Kapuas Hulu Regency, documenting the variety of weaving found, and engaging in dialogue with the weaving community to help boost the local economy through a fair trade system. In addition to conducting research, documentation, and small-scale business, Mahakarya Tenun also actively writes articles to share knowledge and reach the public
