Matana University was established in 2014, which is a change of form from JIBES College of Informatics and Computer Management in Jakarta to Matana University in Tangerang based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 331/E/0/2014. The Faculty of Business Economics and Social Sciences (FEBIS) of Matana University was formed in 2017 based on the Rector Decree No. 35/SK/Rector/III/2017 which oversees three Study Programmes, namely: Accounting, Management and Hospitality & Tourism Study Programmes.

The hospitality and tourism study programme is a study programme that studies 3 scientific clumps, including Culinary, Hotel Management and Tourism. The study programme has 5 lecturers who have the obligation to carry out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely teaching, research and community service. The involvement of our lecturers in Indecon is expected to contribute to the field of research and community service.
